#105 | Taylor the Nahamsha Hiker on thru hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2021

February 16th, 2021

Taylor the Nahamsha Hiker is about to set out on her Appalachian Trail thru hike! After getting off the Appalachian Trail last year, Taylor is going to be back at it again this year, leaving in just a few days. We talk about what she is excited for, what she is nervous for, and I find a few chances to reminisce about my Appalachian Trail thru hike as well.

#104 | Starting your own Backpacking Gear Company with Jacob Younger

February 9th, 2021

Jacob Younger and I met each other on the Northville Placid Trail in September 2020. He told me about making his own gear, starting a company, and I thought it was really interesting and invited him on the podcast!

#103 | A Harrowing Reminder of what can go Wrong on the PCT (and other trails) with Doug Laher

February 2nd, 2021

Trevor Laher passed away while attempting a thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in March of 2020. Despite the tragic circumstances, his father Doug Laher has made it his mission to educate other hikers of the PCT and beyond about how the accident could have been prevented. Doug joins me in this episode to talk about Trevor's legacy, the accident, and what we can all learn from it.
