#87 | Sintax77 on hiking the DEVIL’S PATH in the Catskills

September 9th, 2020

Sintax77 joins me again to talk about our hike of the Devil's Path in the Catskill mountains of New York. We did this hike in mid-August of 2020... and it absolutely kicked my butt. We were successful but I certainly underestimated the trail, so it was a humbling experience! In this episode we cover all the logistics of hiking Devil's Path, and much more!

#81 | Never let Your Guard Down while Hiking with Philip Werner of SectionHiker.com

July 8th, 2020

Philip Werner is the creator behind SectionHiker.com, one of the first and most popular backpacking blogs on the internet. His website has been an important source of information to me since I first began hiking, so I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to chat with him. We talk a lot about the White Mountains, Redlining, and at the end Philip tells a story that should be a reminder to all experienced hikers that you can never let your guard down when it comes to your safety on the trail. #64 | Pushing the Limits of What’s Possible in New Hampshire’s White Mountains with Arlette Laan

February 11th, 2020

Arlette Laan has done some incredible things in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and elsewhere. She is a triple crowner, and currently holds the FKT for the woman's unsupported White Mountain Direttissima. Not only that, but she also crushed the first ever WINTER Direttissima with her husband. In our conversation she tells the story of both of these incredible feats in the White Mountains, plus the story of how she met her husband while thru hiking! Arlette's Instagram: @arlette_laan

#49 | White Mountains Redlining; Beyond the White Mountain 4000 Footers with Redline Guiding’s Mike Cherim

October 22nd, 2019

Redline Guiding's owner and founder Mike Cherim joins the show this week to talk all about the White Mountains of New Hampshire! Mike is an experienced hiker who has completed many notable accomplishments. From thru-hiking the Long Trail to Redlining the White Mountains, Mike has many miles under his belt, and we had plenty to talk about. We discussed what White Mountain Redlining is, how there is much more to the White Mountains than just the 4000-footers, and how he was able to take his passion of hiking and turn it into a successful business by starting Redline Guiding. Be sure to check out their website, Facebook, and Instagram.
