#87 | Sintax77 on hiking the DEVIL'S PATH in the Catskills

Sintax77 joins me again to talk about our hike of the Devil's Path in the Catskill mountains of New York. We did this hike in mid-August of 2020... and it absolutely kicked my butt. We were successful but I certainly underestimated the trail, so it was a humbling experience! In this episode we cover all the logistics of hiking Devil's Path, and much more!

The man himself, Darwin on the Trail joins me this week to discuss his upcoming film about the Arizona Trail called 'Through The Great Southwest', the relationship between music and hiking, and much more. Darwin's YouTube channel is one of the most well known hiking channels and he has inspired countless numbers of people to get outside and hit the trail. At the end of the episode he tells one of the craziest stories I've heard on Trail Tales, and it's one that he hasn't really opened up about in his videos. Darwin is the man!

#50 | The Interviewer Gets Interviewed For the Trail Tales 50th Episode Special

Holy....wow. Fifty Episodes! To celebrate, my good friend and frequent guest of the show Baker Bokorney is back, but this time he is the interviewer. Baker thought it would be fun to reverse the roles and take some of the work off my plate this week, so I got to spend an hour answer questions about myself, my hiking history, and Trail Tales itself. I even get to share a never-before-told story at the end of the episode.

Much like our first episode, we jumped all over the place in our conversation, mostly focusing on his latest film 'Military Surplus Camping - B-47 Crash Site - Adirondack Mountains', as well as talk about some of his hikes in the White Mountains and of course... hammock camping! In the ever-growing pool of hiking Youtubers, Sintax77's videos continue to stand out to me due to his creative ideas and drive to push his abilities when it comes to film-making.
